Borger Satellite Workshop provides services for persons with mental and physical disabilities. We offer vocational training in a sheltered workshop environment. We individualize service plans to meet each client�s individual needs. We provide Supported Employment for persons working in the community. We are able to assist those people who need training at home with our Supported Home Living services. We strive to provide as many opportunities as possible to enrich our client�s lives, so that they might enjoy a purposeful and satisfying life as much as they are capable of having. People with disabilities are people first.

The agency mission statement is "Making lives better". The staff of the Borger Satellite Workshop strive for this every day.

The Bridge provides a neutral home-like environment for the video taped forensic interview of alleged child victims involved in an investigation of abuse. The Bridge provides a continuum of care for the child and family members through final resolution of the case.

We are a non-profit center that provides care for all socio-economic backgrounds.

We currently have 5 different sites that include our Pre-School program, Babyland, Fritch Child Development Center and two after-school programs. Buttercup House, Inc. also has a Pre-K program and an Early Head Start Program.

Buttercup House is pleased to accept subsidies from the Panhandle Work Source Child Care Services. Information on this can be obtained at PanhandleWorkSource.com or by calling our office at 274-4996. Fees are based on income & calculated on a sliding scale fee.

Provide food, clothing, and shelter for persons involved in disaster. Provide emergency communications between armed forces personnel and their families. Teach Health and Safety classes to include CPR, First Aid, Preventing Disease Transmission, swimming, and lifeguarding. Develop and exercise a comprehensive disaster response plan for the chapter to respond to disasters occurring in our jurisdiction.

Girl Scouts is a dynamic and contemporary organization which prepares girls to become successful adult women. Through an informal educational program, girls ages 5-17 learn to have fun, gain self-esteem and contribute to their communities. In this uniquely all-girl experience, support is provided by trained volunteers and skilled staff. The volunteer structure is innovative and emphasizes a structured selection process, adult education and training.

The Salvation Army Borger Service Center provides low income residents of Hutchinson County with Rental and Utility Assistance, Prescription Medication Assistance, Temporary/Emergency lodging, On-site Food Pantry, Back-to-school Backpack Program for children, Winter Coat Program for children, Christmas Angel Tree Program, vouchers for clothing and funiture purchases in our Family Store, Summer Camp Porgram for children, access and referrals to financial, religious and substance abuse counseling as welll as emergency disaster response with meals and refreshements for victims and volunteers.

Texas Panhandle Mental Health Mental Retardation (MHMR) is part of the Texas Community MHMR Center system and is governed by a local Board of Trustees representing the citizens of the upper twenty-one Texas Panhandle counties. The primary populations served by TPMHMR are adults and youth with severe mental illness, mental retardation and children birth to three years of age experiencing developmental delays. Clients and staff decide together on individual plans of care that can include a wide service array such as assessment, case management, crisis intervention, medication and a variety of other treatment and therapeutic supports.
