"Drug Court has been a blessing to me and my family. One day, I found myself on the wrong end of a barrel of a gun and I remember just thinking to myself this is it, my daughter is going to grow up without a dad. I'm all that she has, and she was the only thing in my life at that time worth having. I was so tired of the way I was living broke, homeless and hungry and really just at the end of my rope, in this program I have gotten so much, and they have opened my eyes to a world of possibilities that are now possible for me. I have health, dental and vision insurance, a 401k, a credit score…it just goes to show that through hard work and determination, anything is possible. Now, I am 36 years old, and I am the cleanest and soberest I have ever been in my entire life, since the age of 12 years old. During his/her time in Drug Court this participant was granted full custody of his daughter and was married.
