United Way works for a healthier America

Whether it is a neighbor without health insurance, a victim of abuse, or someone struggling with mental illness, United Ways are working to ensure everyone has access to affordable and quality care.

Our Goal

By 2028, United Way engaging 10 million people in the

U.S. in 1,000 communities to achieve three goals:

*5 million people get better jobs

*90% of people will get healthier

*95% of students will graduate high school ready

for career or college

Our Strategy

Support initiatives that promote healthy behaviors,

i.e., increasing access to healthy, nutritious foods,

opportunities for physical activity, and reducing drug

and alcohol abuse

Promote health insurance enrollment

Increase preventative health services and treatment

Offer access to prenatal care and foster healthy parenting skills

Address the social determinants of health,

i.e. increasing economic stability, education,

and improving the built environment
